FoodUnfolded (EIT Food) is an EU-based organisation focusing on furthering understanding of our food and where it comes from, and food-related technology. They aim to connect with their audience through entertainment and education on relevant topics.
The FoodUnfolded team commissioned an interview-based documentary centring around the trend towards urban hen keeping. We focused on London and filmed with an urban hen keeper in Acton, a school in West London and the Hen Corner, a London-based operation who run training courses for those wishing to keep chickens in limited space
During the interviews we explored the benefits, challenges and risks of keeping hens in urban environments to help answer the question: Owning Chickens In A City, Is It Possible? The film was produced in collaboration with Aran Shaunak.
