Encephalitis International enlisted Faltrego’s creative services to produce their educational ‘Understanding Encephalitis’ animation series. The series comprised 11 animations, each answering a searchable question around encephalitis (symptoms, diagnosis, treatment etc.)

Faltrego developed the sub-branded colour palette, character designs and overall visual ‘look and feel’ for the series ahead of producing the full series end-to-end. This included scripting, storyboarding, design, animation, voice casting and sound.

Crucially, the films found a younger audience with 62.7% of viewers of ‘What is Encephalitis?’ aged 19-24. This is an age group the charity have traditionally struggled to reach.

The series was awarded Highly Commended at the Digital Impact Awards 2023.
