The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) commissioned Faltrego to produce their Opening Extractives film. The film had to both explain Opening Extractives in clear terms, as well as showcase the impact on partner countries, to an audience of stakeholders and partner organisations.
We decided to couch the country ‘case studies’ within an overarching explainer animation in a branded infographic style, for the best comprehensibility of the programme. The animated segments facilitate understanding of the problem, Opening Extractives as the solution and how the programme works. The big picture explanation is supported by more intimate case studies filmed by local crew, and co-ordinated by Faltrego, in the Philippines,Nigeria and Mexico.
The final film was well-received by EITI and its partner organisations.
