Faltrego were approached by Sands for a fundraising campaign that needed to be highly sensitive to lived experience, and that would appeal to cold audiences 25-55 while also demonstrating comfort and hope to warm audiences who can be particularly vulnerable this time of year. The film needed to uplift audiences, representing hope, light and comfort.
We created a ‘Dear Parents…’ concept for the script, which contained multiple Sands community voices thanking parents’ contributions to research. The visuals centre upon a couple, Bhavna and Vijay, wrapping presents with the end revealing that they are bereaved parents; but thanks to them, more families get to spend the festive season together.
