Amplifying the authentic stories of real communities

Co-producing emotive and authentic stories with your supporters, HCPs, patients and beneficiaries is what has always been the heart and soul of Faltrego.

From fundraising case studies, to promotional videos, to social justice documentaries, our in-house production studio works with communities in a process of trauma-informed co-production, to amplify voices, represent realities and spotlight stories of your support — stories that move audiences closer to your cause.

How we do it

1. Client Briefing

During an call, we uncover your ‘why’, your objectives and the key messages you want to communicate. We dig into the DNA of your organisation and understand the audiences you want to reach. We talk through any volunteers and stories available to you, to inform how we craft an authentic video with your communities at the heart.

2. Story Beats / Interview Questions

A 'beat sheet' is traditionally used to structure the plot of a video. It is used to attach particular key messaging and key points to particular interviewees and helps us craft interview questions and prompts to elicit the responses from interviewees that are required for the final story.

3. Creative Treatment

The creative treatment outlines how your film will ‘look and feel’. It includes visual moodboards illustrating the lighting, colour palette, location and interview compositions ensuring you and your contributors know what to expect on filming day and with the final video.

4. Logistics

Faltrego handles all logistical aspects of production to ensure a smooth filming day. This includes arranging location access, crew and equipment, scheduling, shot lists, legal paperwork, permissions, and even parking. You simply need to show up and enjoy the process.

5. Filming

Faltrego ensures flexibility on shoot days to ensure all candidates are comfortable. Filming typically includes both interviews and  capturing b-roll footage of interactions and activities. We recommend scheduling a full 8-hour day to capture the widest range of content for your film.

6. 'Paper Edit' and Editing

We transcribe the interviews and structure the transcribed soundbites into a ‘Paper Edit’ that hits your key messages. This allows you to review the story structure before editing begins. We edit the film and add music, sound effects, colour grade and accessibility features.
