How we do it

1. Briefing and Discovery

We unpick the ‘why’ behind your re-brand or brand refresh. We suggest a half day Brand Discovery Workshop with your internal stakeholders, where we map your North Star and South Star, and understand your. objectives for the organisation long-term and what you want your reputation to be.

2. Audience research and insights

Audience insights will focus on brand perception: what do your audiences need from you; what are your audience's current perceptions of you, and where's the gap between current perception and where you want to be? This stage can involve in-depth interview (IDIs) with your audience.

3. Brand strategy and messaging

We usually hold a further brand strategy workshop, reflecting on the audience insights and our strategic recommendations. A final Brand strategy will include strapline and brand descriptors (who you are in a nutshell), a brand messaging framework and brand voice guidelines.

4. Visual Identity

We build a visual identity from the messaging, focussed on reinforcing your brand's core concept. We do this by developing 2-3 'stylescapes' (concept moodboards). We refine the chosen stylescape into a full visual identity, including showing how your brand would look in the real world. We recommend co-production with an internal Brand Squad or your audience.

5. Branded assets

Once the visual identity is signed-off, we create your brand guidelines as well as a suite of branded assets for you to use. This usually includes versions of the logo, Adobe or Canva templates for social media graphics, Word or Powerpoint templates and iconography. Budget pending, we can also produce: an animation, illustrations or photography/videos.
