Taken by our work with the third sector and sensitive storytelling, the Yorkshire and Humber Children’s Palliative Care Network approached us with a brief for their campaign ‘Help every child live life to the full’.
YHCPCN wanted a film aimed at non-specialist professionals: teachers, GPs and social workers. They wanted to show that these professions, who often have the most and earliest contact with children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, don’t realise the impact they can have to help children and families access the support they need and deserve.
We spent time filming with Dawn and Lucy, a family with palliative care needs, as well as teacher Charlotte. We worked with YHCPCN and their contributors to produce a teaser film for the campaign which shows the real need for support.
YHCPCN later re-commissioned Faltrego for a series of emotive person-centred case studies focussed on telling the stories of those with palliative care needs and their families, including Taz's story.
