Alzheimer’s Society, with the 3 Nations Dementia Working Group (3NDWG), commissioned Faltrego to produce a case study of one of their beneficiaries. The objective was to demonstrate the positive benefits of recognising an individual’s wants and needs when providing care for them in a care home.
We ensured the film was celebratory, empowering and sensitive. The film was shown at the Alzheimer’s Society Conference, aiming to influence public policy and improve the lives of people affected by dementia, by changing hearts and minds with an emotive person-centred narrative.
‘Derek’ for Alzheimer’s Society was a Finalist in the Charity Film Awards.
