The British Society for Rheumatology wanted a brand animation that gave viewers a sense of who BSR are and the importance of being part of their membership. The organisation wanted audiences to join the community, using the video for recruiting purposes and at events.
As the BSR represents the entire multidisciplinary team, it was important to represent nurses, health practitioners, academic, trainees and students alike across adult, adolescent and paediatric rheumatology. Character representation and diversity was key. The person-centred human element was vital, as BSR wanted to say: members at the heart of everything we do.
The idea of connection and network was also important, with BSR wanting to say: we are one society and one community.
It was also important for BSR that we seamlessly included member testimonials, and had a voiceover representing one of the devolved nations. The result is an evergreen brand animation in BSRβs brand palette, that continues to be used three years after the initial commission and counting.
